RoboMarkets Review 2020 – Company Information
In This RoboMarkets review, updated for 2020, we are going to look at all the pros and cons of trading with RoboMarkets.
RoboMarkets is a forex, CFD and stock trading broker, founded in 2013. RoboMarkets Ltd. is licensed by the CySEC under license number 191/13 and is thus a regulated broker. As brokers operating in the European Union nowadays have to state how much percentage of their traders lose money whilst trading CFD’s, they are required to state this on their website.
What immediately caught my eye whilst writing this RoboMarkets review, is the relatively low percentage of 66,7%. This is way lower than most other brokers where I see percentages as high as 89%.
Both from this fact and the fact that they also offer stock trading on a whopping 11,700 different stocks, I can conclude most professional traders from Europe choose for RoboMarkets as their main broker. RoboMarkets is also the proud sponsor of BMW M Motorsport, the ”Autolife” Team: Starikovich – Heskes and the RoboMarkets AEL TRB-Danoi Cyprus women volleyball team.
If you never heard from RoboMarkets before, please continue reading this review so I can introduce you to this famous brokerage firm.
License and Regulation – Is RoboMarkets Reliable and Safe?
As I outlined before, RoboMarkets is authorized and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) under license number 191/13. Their company and subsidiaries are registered investment companies in over 30 different European countries. You can check out their license and more regulatory information by clicking here.
Your money is also safe with this broker because they are part of the Investor Compensation Fund (ICF). This means that in the rare case of RoboMarkets going bankrupt, investors and traders will get back up to 20,000 Euro in compensation.
Apart from being member of ICF and fully licensed and regulated, RoboMarkets also provides 2 Factor Authentication, SSL ecnryption and Client’s fund segregation.
To explain this in more detail, the two-factor authentication is used at login, when a 5-digit SMS code will be sent to the user’s phone number or by Authy. The user has to fill in this code within the trading software to continue logging in their trading account. This protects the trader or investor from being hacked. The RoboMarkets website, app and trading platforms are all encrypted by modern ciphers, also called SSL by Comodo CA Ltd.
Fund Segregation
Client’s funds are being held in segregated bank accounts at top tier 1 banks. One of these banks is Barclays Bank PLC, which is world renown for it’s top of the line banking services. RoboMarkets is the official sponsor of BC Žalgiris Kaunas, the best and oldest basketball club in Lithuania.
Tradeable Financial Instruments, Assets and Products
On RoboMarkets traders can choose among 11,700 trading instruments. This is one of the highest numbers of any broker world wide. You can literally trade almost anything at RoboMarkets, including CFD’s on 50 currency pairs, 7 cryptocurrencies, 3000 stocks and 9 indices.
Please note that trading stocks is only available trough the R Trader platform.
RoboMarkets Review 2020 – Account Types
RoboMarkets offers 8 different account types being: Pro-Standard, Pro-Cent, ECN-Pro NDD, Prime, R Trader, Islamic, Demo Pro and Demo. They offer quick order execution, handy Members Area to manage your accounts, and optimal trading conditions. The Company has developed several types of account to help you to choose the most suitable solution based of MetaTrader4, MetaTrader5, and R Trader trading platforms. WebTrader web terminal and MobileTrader mobile application for iOS and Android will provide you with an opportunity to trade even when you don’t have access to your PC. All above-mentioned platforms can be downloaded in their Download Center.
These accounts are either available on MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 or on C Trader, branded to R Trader by RoboMarkets. All account types can be funded in five different currency types: USD, EUR, CHF, GBP and GOLD. The minimum deposit amount at all real or live accounts is $100 or equivalent. Traders can set their own leverage levels during registration and the set leverage is also dependent on the trader’s experience and knowledge. The Prime account is a little bit different compared to all other accounts, but more on that later.

Of course not everyone want to directly try out a broker or new trading strategy with real money. That’s why RoboMarkets offers not one but two types of demo accounts. For these accounts no deposit is required. The demo accounts only come in USD format and have floating spreads. The demo accounts are available in MT4, MT5 and R WebTrader format.
Demo Pro
This type of demo account comes with spreads charged from 1.3 pips and offers trading on 36 forex pairs, precious metals and cryptocurrencies.
Demo ECN-Pro NDD
The Demo ECN-Pro NDD is similar to the regular Demo Pro account but floating spreads start from 0 pips on this account type. Obviously, as you can see from the name, this account type offers ECN-style forex trading.
To open any type of account, just click on ‘Open an Account’ under the main menu bar. Fill in the registration form, verify your email address and start using any demo account within minutes. To open a real or live account, you need to pass their KYC procedure by uploading a form of ID and proof of residence.

RoboMarkets is also available on your smartphone, in three different versions that is. Traders can choose to use the R Mobile Trader, which is based on C Trader or MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 versions. All of these mobile trading platforms are available on both Android and iOS mobile devices and can be downloaded in their respective app stores. Please note that some features on the desktop version like expert advisors and indicators are not available on the mobile versions.
Social Trading with RoboMarkets
CopyFX Trading Platform
The copy trading platform allows you to follow and copy professional traders so that you don’t have to do market and stock research yourself. Simply choose how much money you want to invest in a certain trader and click ‘copy’ to start copying their trades. The minimum investment in this type of account is $100 and you can stop following and copying traders at any moment.
Learn more about copy trading and social trading in the special social and copy trading part of our website:
Ramm Trading Platform
The Ramm trading platform is similar to the CopyFX trading platform but it has two main features that are not existant on the CopyFX platform, being higher risk management and proportional allocation of profit tools. Overall, copy trading on the Ramm trading platform protects you better from unprofitable traders.
